Holiday times are always fun, but we do not always have the time to create everything. Let this resource be a fun way to incorporate mathematics into your holiday lessons.

In this resource, you will find shape posters, who has card game, matching shape worksheets, find the shapes activity mat, and make the pattern worksheets. All of these are offered in color and black and white versions.

The shape posters give the name of the shape, an image, and the characteristics that make it that shape.

The who has card game has cards with the characteristics of a shape and the students will find the student who has that shape on their card.

The matching shapes worksheets will have shapes on one side and the name of the shapes on the other side. Students must draw lines to match the shape to its name.

The find the shape activity mats can be used as worksheets or as a laminated activity that can be reused. The top will have a prompt on what shape to look for and students need to find all the shapes on the page. They can color the shape, circle it, use a bingo counter, or more.

In the make the pattern worksheet, students will be given the start of a pattern. Students must cut out the shapes at the bottom to glue on and continue the pattern. Students will then write down the pattern on the lines.

These activities were designed with the ages of kindergarten to second grade in mind, but can be used with others outside this range as well. Special education students and homeschooled students would be happy to participate in these activities as well.
